Makayla really has a way of making people feel comfortable and in their element. Having photos taken of you can feel so awkward and planned but Makayla is goofy and personable so the whole thing is just fun and natural. She cracks some jokes, gets you to do crazy poses and puts herself in some bushes to get the best photos. All the photos she has taken of me have come out so pretty- everyone loves them! I would strongly suggest working with her. – Natasha

  1. CAPTURE THE MOMENT

I can’t stress enough how important it is to hire a photographer for your proposal! It’s such a big part of your love story and being able to look back on the moment is such a beautiful thing.

2. RELAX

Proposing can be nerve-racking but don’t forget the reason behind what you’re doing. Your love and readiness to move forward with your significant other is beautiful. Take a minute to breathe. It doesn’t have to be perfect or a scene from a movie! Just be you. Do something that is special to your relationship and your significant other will love it.

3. BE PREPARED

Being prepared will help you be less nervous! Write down what you want to say. Read it, tweak it, memorize it! You’ll feel so much more relaxed if you don’t have to come up with everything on the fly!

4. FINDING THE RIGHT RING

You know your (soon to be) fiance better than anyone else! Does she like flashy jewelry? Is her style more simple? Ask yourself some questions about what you see in her style… and if she has a Pinterest check it! She might have some of her favorite rings saved on there 🙂

5. MAKE IT A WHOLE DAY

Plan something fun for before/after your proposal! Make the entire day memorable. Natasha and Eric had a party with family and friends to head back to after they finished their photos. What is something your significant other would love?!
