The Hotel Valley Ho is a colorful, vibrant wedding venue that’s been a Scottsdale icon since 1956. The bold mid-century modern design has made it one of the best wedding venues in the area, perfectly combining vintage charm and modern luxury. If you’re looking for a place to tie the knot, this guide to the Hotel Valley Ho wedding venue will help you decide if this is the right spot for you!

About the Hotel Valley Ho Wedding Venue

Hotel Valley Ho first opened in 1956, and in 2005, reopened after some renovations and restorations that honored the original mid-century modern design while adding modern amenities. It’s located right in Old Town Scottsdale, walking distance from shops, galleries, restaurants, and bars! The hotel also has plenty of guest rooms, along with a restaurant, spa, two pools, and more – so it’s the perfect place to spend a weekend whether you want to stay in and relax or go out and explore.

Wedding Venues at Hotel Valley Ho

One of the best things about Hotel Valley Ho is that there are a few different options for your ceremony and reception, making it a versatile venue.

Sky Line Rooftop

Perched at the top of the seven-story Tower, the Sky Line Rooftop offers 360 degree views of Camelback Mountain and Downtown Scottsdale. Imagine saying your vows or dancing under the stars with those views as your backdrop! This space can host up to 200 people.

Palm Court Lawn

For a classic outdoor ceremony, the Palm Court Lawn is a gorgeous choice. It’s filled with lush greenery, lined with palm trees, and surrounded by mid-century modern architecture. This is the perfect ceremony space, because it feels intimate and tucked away, but it can host up to 250 people for a ceremony or reception.

Sands Event Venue

Sands is located on-site, but it’s a standalone space with its own entrance, parking, and built-in bar – making it feel like your own private venue! There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and you can host up to 180 people for a seated dinner.

Citrus Grove

The Citrus Grove is a tucked away gem at the Hotel Valley Ho wedding venue. It’s secluded, and surrounded by citrus trees and a flowing fountain. It’s perfect for ceremonies or sunset cocktail hours, and can host 200 for a ceremony and 160 for a reception.

Soho Ballroom

This unique space has floor to ceiling retractable glass windows that open up to the Main Place Courtyard, providing a unique experience that combines indoor comfort and the scenery of the outdoors. This space can host up to 240 guests.

Amenities at the Hotel Valley Ho Wedding Venue

Along with a place for your ceremony and reception, the Hotel Valley Ho wedding venue also includes a few more amenities so that you have everything you need for your wedding day.

Zuzu

Zuzu is the on site restaurant, named after Rosie Lyon – or “Zuzu,” the matriarch of the family that owns the Hotel Valley Ho! The restaurant features an eclectic menu, handcrafted cocktails, live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and custom desserts.

Pools

There are two pools at the Hotel Valley Ho – the Ohasis pool is perfect for relaxing poolside, while the OH Pool offers weekend music and a pool bar. This venue is perfect for a relaxing wedding weekend, so adding some pool time with a few loved ones can be a great way to celebrate!

VH Spa

There’s no better way to relax than the spa, with hot stone massages, facials, a sauna, and more. Book a couple’s massage to relax before the big day, or a spa day with your wedding party!

The Rooms

One of the best things about getting married at a hotel is that everything you need is in one place, including a place to stay for you and your guests. The rooms are colorful and unique, and you can stay in the historic hotel or in The Tower, which features bigger lofts and suites. With 241 guest rooms, there’s plenty of space for your friends and family. The hotel has discounted rooms for wedding guests, making coordinating accommodations easy!
